Cheil Vietnam’s Connec+ journey began with a belief that creativity must work across the entire consumer journey. This was exemplified in 2019, when the Samsung Galaxy S10 Series Launch Campaign – “Be Unmistakable” received the Creative Excellence Campaign award at the Meta Creative Awards Vietnam.


The campaign went beyond visual creativity. Built on integrated planning, it aligned brand narrative, media strategy, and platform native execution into a single ecosystem, an early demonstration of Connec+ thinking, where creativity, data signals, and technology worked together to drive impact at scale.


 

Connecting Creativity with Platform Power (2022)


In 2022, Cheil Vietnam’s Connec+ model delivered breakthrough results by combining cultural creativity with platform-native activation and data-led optimization.


At the TikTok Awards, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold | Flip 3 Launch Campaign – “Unfold Your Possibilities” became the first hashtag challenge campaign in the region to surpass 2 billion engagements. The success reflected a fully connected approach uniting creators, communities, content formats, media amplification, and real-time performance optimisation into one cohesive experience.


The same year, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Launch Campaign – “Let Your Night Side Rule” was awarded the Gold Trophy at the MMA Smarties Vietnam, recognizing excellence in integrated marketing communications. The campaign further received a Bronze Trophy at the MMA Smarties APAC, validating its effectiveness across markets.

These recognitions underscored how Connec+ transforms creative ideas into high-performing, full-funnel ecosystems where brand storytelling, media, and performance channels reinforce one another.




Delivering Integrated Experiences at Scale (2023)


In 2023, Cheil Vietnam continued to evolve its Connec+ approach with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 | Z Fold4 Launch Campaign – “Curate Your Flex Mode”.


Designed as an end-to-end connected experience, the campaign integrated insight-led strategy, modular content systems, creator partnerships, platform-native media, and commerce touchpoints. Every element was designed to work together, ensuring both cultural relevance and measurable impact.

The campaign was recognized with:


  • Gold Trophy at the MMA Smarties Vietnam
  • Bronze Trophy at the MMA Smarties APAC
  • Silver Trophy at the BSI Awards

These awards reflected the strength of Connec+ in action where integration is not an execution layer, but a strategic foundation.

 

Sustained Impact Through Integration (2024)


Cheil Vietnam’s Connec+ model continued to prove its long-term value in 2024. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Launch Campaign – “Let Your Night Side Rule” received a Gold Trophy at the BSI Awards, highlighting the enduring effectiveness of campaigns built on integrated strategy and connected execution.


That same year, Cheil Vietnam was named Creative Agency of the Year – Bronze at the TikTok Ad Awards Vietnam 2024. This recognition went beyond individual campaigns, acknowledging the agency’s leadership in platform strategy, creative innovation and performance-driven integration.


Additionally, the Woori Bank campaign – “Live in the Woo” earned Silver for Best Performance Campaign, reinforcing Cheil Vietnam’s ability to apply Connec+ thinking across categories—connecting creativity, data, and technology to drive tangible business outcomes.

Cheil wins the Network of the Year at MAD STARS 2025

Cheil breaks its own record at MAD STARS, winning a total of 53 awards with works from Korea, Spain, and Greater China


Cheil has won the Network of the Year, sweeping a total of 53 awards including a Grand Prix, four Golds, seven Silvers, twelve Bronzes, and twenty-nine Crystals at MAD STARS 2025, setting the network’s own record at the festival.

‘Impulse’ by Cheil Spain for Samsung won a Grand Prix in the Design category. By developing an AI-powered app for Samsung’s smartwatches, the campaign offers people with speech disorders an invisible and inaudible assistant to guide fluent speech through analyzing and translating words into rhythmic vibrations. The work also won two Golds and two Silvers.

Safe Sketch’ by Cheil Hong Kong for Save the Children bagged a Gold in Direct, five Bronzes, and ten Crystals. Using a database of over 200,000 drawings, the free app identifies signs of abuse hidden in children’s drawings to safeguard them. Potential cases of abuse are then red-flagged, prompting teachers to seek further evaluation.

Another work from Cheil Spain, ‘The Art of Hack’ for Samsung, was awarded a Gold in Commerce and a Silver. Given the fact that Samsung’s The Frame TV doubles as a digital canvas when in standby mode, the promo offered discounts by classifying the TV as art rather than consumer electronics based on the insight that the Spanish tax system charges lower VAT for art.

Other works that won metals include Burger King’s brand activation ‘Whopper Tattoo’ and Samsung’s ‘Victory Selfie Shared #withGalaxy’ experience at Paris 2024 by Cheil Korea, and Cheil Spain’s AI-powered video game ‘The Mind Guardian’ developed in partnership with Samsung to detect the early signs of Alzheimer’s.

During the 3-day global festival for marketing and advertising, Cheil shared AI insights with the industry through various thought leadership sessions including a keynote speech “The Ambidextrous Agency: Harmonizing AI and Human Creativity” by John Jonghyun Kim, global president and chief executive officer at Cheil, and session by Alejandro Di Trolio, European Creative Chairman at Cheil, titled “There is Anything More Human than Algorithm.” Cheil also joined in Samsung Electronics’ session “Bespoke AI: How to Build Brand Heritage in the Age of AI,” represented by speakers Yuna Kim, Olympic Champion and model in the campaign, Kyungtae Kim, corporate VP at Samsung Electronics, and Soora Min, executive director at Cheil Korea.
